Are you working hard but still stuck?
You might be wasting energy on the wrong things
Therefore In this video, I’m going to share with you Habit 1 of 7. These are the habits that changed my life. and if you follow these steps, they can change yours too.
So let’s dive into Habit 1, the 80/20 rule, also called the Pareto Principle.
You might be thinking, “I know this already.” Well, knowing is not enough. You have to apply it.
As Gary Keller says in “The One Thing”, not all tasks matter equally.
So what is the 80/20 rule?
80% of your results often come from just 20% of your actions.
Find your few — and focus. That’s from “The 80/20 Principle” by Richard Koch.
In 1896, economist Vilfredo Pareto made a discovery.
He noticed that 20% of people owned 80% of Italy’s land.
That pattern shows up everywhere — even in your day. Also discussed in “Essentialism” by Greg McKeown.
Learning is great, but action creates results,
Here’s the formula: Learn 20% → Apply 80%.
“Now you might be asking…”
“How do I actually apply the 80/20 Rule in real life?
Whatever your path study, career, or personal growth, 80/20 applies
“As a student: 1 hour of theory needs 4 hours of practice.”
“At work, try this:” “Spend 20% learning a new skill.” “Spend 80% using it to solve real problems.”
“Learning opens the door. Doing walks you through it.”
So what do you do? Try it today. Find your 20% and focus on it.
